With us here is the newest single from Bogotá-based Colombian singer-songwriter Juliana Beltrán. Titled “Delusional”, it’s her first offering of the year.

The guitar-driven Latin-pop ballad is built around a beautiful stripped-back arrangement. “Delusional” is deeply melancholic: the song is about holding on to a relationship that you know is slipping away.

The vulnerability in Juliana’s lyrics and delivery makes this a truly powerful song. But then again, that is what we’ve come to expect from the talented artist.

Beltrán is currently working on a new EP (her first EP was 2018’s Déjame Ir).

This is the ballad of the [upcoming] EP. The sad realization that a relationship is ending and has no future, yet you linger on the delusion of a hopeless idea,” she shares. “It’s honest, raw, and very true to this day. It’s also the first song where I play guitar live in the studio.

Without saying more, I’d urge you to give “Delusional” a listen. For more music from, you can follow her on Instagram.
