Irish reggae singer Owen Casey recently released “Love of the Common People”, his reimagination of John Hurley and Ronnie Wilkins’ classic song of the same title.

That song has been covered numerous times by artists representing diversely different genres. Owen’s version is delivered in his signature Celtic roots reggae style. The resulting track is as groovy as it’s uplifting.

Speaking about his inspiration, Casey says the song “touches the heart and pulls on the sentimental strings of what matters most to the human family. Family love, support and values. Resilience and loyalty.
