UK reggae artist Admiral Jerry is mostly known of his collaborations with UB40. Recently, he released a new music video — the visuals are for his song “Chant Down Babylon”.

A song about the endurance of struggles on one’s way to a better future, “Chant Down Babylon” features some really thought-provoking lyrics.

“Growing up in Handsworth as a first-generation Black Briton, I experienced plenty of racist attitudes at grammar school and throughout my education. This song is for oppressed people everywhere who are hoping and striving for a better tomorrow,” Admiral Jerry reveals.

Despite the heavy message, the song is quite a fun groove, and you’ll find yourself vibing along.

“Chant Down Babylon” signals the arrival of even more songs from Admiral Jerry, who plans to release an album in 2027.
