Tokyo-based composer Bajune Tobeta joined forces with Japanese-Brazilian bossa nova singer Lisa Ono for a new single, “Batucada”. The song brings us closer to the release of his Sergio Mendes Tribute album — the album will arrive on September 4th.

“Batucada” is a rework of a similarly-titled Sergio Mendes song released in 1968 as part of his Look Around album.

Bajune’s version is lively and melodious. “Batucada” is an infectious song with that feelgood vibe.
