Across generations and cultures, there always exists a popular song describing such a heartbreak. What’s rare, however, is finding one composed by a 15-year-old. But Bella Shields is not your average teenager.

The Dublin-based singer and multi-instrumentalist (she plays piano, guitar, cello, sax and more) is continuing to demonstrate her ability to create truly evocative pieces.

“One Wish”, her third ever single, delves into unrequited love.

Bella reveals: “The inspiration behind ‘One Wish’ came from the feeling of having someone who means so much to you, while knowing that the love you feel isn’t reciprocated. I wanted to explore the rejection and heartbreak that can come from that, even when nothing tangible has actually happened between you.”

From the vocals to the production, this track is brilliantly crafted.
