The lead single of Avery Cochrane‘s debut album is here. “Toy Gun” arrives alongside the announcement of the exciting pop newcomer’s first ever headline tour, the Weapons of Iridescence Tour.

With “Toy Gun”, Avery delivers a glittering synthpop-influenced track. The song is both upbeat and reflective. About it, Cochrane shares:

“I wrote this song about the freedom of leaving a relationship that was emotionally draining. To me, acting ‘toughened with a toy gun’ means assuming the role of the brave and secure partner, despite being unsure of the relationship yourself.“

Back in March, the LA-based singer-songwriter released her debut EP, Male Validation and Other Drugs, which included the single “Griever“. The forthcoming full-length debut promises to an interesting listen indeed.
