Alt-pop sensation Maryon King is determined to make 2026 her own. Brick by brick, one hit after another, she is building herself a career.

Maryon’s musical journey has been characterized by sheer persistence, from going against her parents’ desire for her to follow a different path, to her taking the bold step and moving to London. King is currently based in Los Angeles — she was actually born in Moldova and raised in Italy.

This new song can be described as an unhinged yet playful anthem.

“‘Build a Man’ is for every girl who gave a guy the full girlfriend effect… fixed his wardrobe, raised his standards, and taught him emotional intelligence only for the next girl to get the finished product,” Maryon explains.
