Justin Jesso‘s latest video finds the Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter working with fast-rising Scottish artist Nina Nesbitt on a rework of his song, “Let It Be Me”. The original song was part of (and the title-track to) Justin’s successful 5-song debut EP (which we’ve posted below). This heartfelt electro-pop song has been accompanied by a nice video.
“‘Let It Be Me’ is what I would say to the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. I would want them to know that no matter what hardships we would face, I would be there. I knew the song needed something special to finish it off, and when I heard Nina for the first time, I knew she was the missing piece. Vocally, she is a gentle powerhouse and her voice has this emotional honesty that just jumps off records while also drawing you in.” ~ Justin Jesso
Justin initially shot to prominence with his powerful feature on Kygo’s “Stargazing”. The Chicago-raised artist, who names Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder and James Brown as some of his top influences, has been on a steady rise, fast scaling the heights of pop.
