Up until she dropped the veil to reveal that the artist behind the moniker ASHS is actually Alyssa Reid, the Canadian pop singer/songwriter had (from around 2018 when she debuted as an artist) maintained an anonymous image. Prior to that, however, she was a dependable and top-selling writer who’d penned songs for the likes of bülow (“Not A Love Song”) and Virginia to Vegas (“Selfish”). Being so multi-talented has, thus, helped propel her rise in a short space of time.

Her latest single “Don’t Call Me” carries the best of both her affecting voice and riveting songwriting and once again shows her knack for dark themes. The song comes dressed in a compulsive synth-heavy sound that quite complements the lyrics.
