Maty Noyes kickstarted the rollout of her sophomore album, Rainbow Syndrome, back in May with the unveiling of “Lighter Thief“. The genre-bending pop sensation has already dropped three singles, with “Idea” being the third.

“Idea” is a glossy and thumpy cut. From Maty’s clean vocals to the exuberant instrumentation, it was expertly produced.

Noyes, who makes any thought or event in her life an excuse to write a song, says of this new offering:

This song is about when you look back in shock that you were able to deal or put up with certain things from an ex or ever really date them at all. It’s not about missing this person, it’s about the opposite of missing them. Being so glad and celebrating them being out of your life now, it’s a self-reflective moment for you to look back and see how you’ve grown with what you’re willing to put up with or what you deserve. It’s a hate song for the exes. It’s a song for the ones who got away and were so good with that.

I can’t get enough of this record and I’m sure it will have a similar effect on you.
