Following Eric Ananda‘s single “Walking Away” released back in March, the Kenyan artist & producer returned with another one at the beginning of this month. Called “Wait For You”, the new track offers us another taste of what to expect on the musician’s upcoming album titled Sunsets and Daydreams.

Speaking about “Wait For You”, Ananda shared, “I wrote this song on a Saturday morning in March 2022. A really close friend of mine has a deep connection with the moon, around this time she was going through a lot in her life and the night before she stayed up all night watching the full moon.“

He expounds: “‘Wait for You’ shines a light on a person going through a lot hoping this feeling won’t last forever, knowing that at the end of it, is a brighter day and a happier future. I have a feeling there are lots of people out there facing something that they can’t describe to anyone. This song leans more on the emotional side but I feel it can connect in other situations as well.“

Starting out as a record producer, Eric has continued to work on his vocal delivery and he’s increasingly getting better at it. His performance of “Wait For You” does justice to the emotional lyrics. Do check out Eric Ananda on Instagram.
