Kenyan pop group Sauti Sol continue to represent Kenya in the right light as they were featured in Switzerland’s Bulletin in the publication compilation of the top 50 important personalities in areas of culture, business, politics, sports and society. The publication is owned by Credit Suisse. According to Bulletin, “The quartet of Bien-Aimé Baraza, Willis Chimano, Delvin Mudigi and Polycarp Otieno make up Sauti Sol, Kenya’s most popular music export on the African continent. The enormously successful boy band sings in Swahili and blends local and regional dances and music with western-inspired music genres like soul and R’n’B. Sauti means “voice” in Swahili. In 2014, they won the best African Act at the 2014 MTV European Music Awards.”
