“2015 the year to subdue the earth and reclaim victory in Jesus name,” that a bold statement from Serah Mutemi .

Her music is one that both uplifting and entertaining. Considering her great voice, what is her background?

She started acquiring basic piano and guitar skills in Loreto limuru in the 1980s through the Sister Mary Owen. She then went by the name Serah Katua. As a University of Nairobi student studying linguistics in the 1990s, she bought a box-guitar which she played during Christian Union meetings. She soon became good at this art. Fast forward to 2013, Serah began to compose gospel music her first song being, Ajabu. Her hit, Mungu wa Amani Kenya was well received by listeners of KBC radio where it got played on rotation.

She will be ministering in Zambia, presenting songs like “None Like You”. You can get to download her songs via this Mdundo link.

DID YOU KNOW THAT… Serah Mutemi is also a Secondary School Principal and manages to balance this with her music?
