Kaien Cruz has just released an exciting new single, “Dangerous”. The South African singer/songwriter’s song arrives today via Platoon. It fuses a melodic electronic sound with elements of both nu-soul and indie pop. Still, you will love the seamless interplay between her R&B vocals and the lyrical composition, which is ‘dangerously’ alluring yet tellingly assertive and likens her character to that of a menacing reptile.

Kaien told us that: “I wrote ‘Dangerous’ during a very frustrating time in my life. I’d just realised that a lot of people in this industry that I thought had my back, actually didn’t. So this song is about those people and and other things in my life that I thought were good for me, but were only holding me back.”

The song follows up the Durban-born artist’s Mansion Mind EP, an 8-song project she released last year. Kaien is currently in Los Angles, working on a  new EP.
