‘Swim’ EP will immerse you into Mild Minds’ world

Mild Minds has released his 3-track EP titled SWIM. Well, after I heard “Swim” (the lead single and title track), I had to dive into the whole project which turns out to be a pretty solid body of work. This electronic record marks the musician’s signing with Odesza’s Foreign Family Collective, the stable through which the EP was released. The songs were written by Joshua Tree and Lake Arrowhead.

“Swim” is a warm track that carries an infectious hook and comes in a lo-fi production, a feel which is shared by the other two songs.

About SWIM, Mild Minds explains that: “I wanted to do something that was completely ‘me’ in that moment. After being used to working with songs that had elaborate visions over long periods of time, it was nice to make music simply as it came out. Without overthinking it, without pausing or questioning the process like I was used to.”

Stream the entire EP below  via Soundcloud as we, in the meantime, anticipate the artist’s upcoming debut LP, a project whose details are still very scanty.
