You probably remember Maydar from “Sweet Talk“, the song we covered about six months ago. Well, the Stockholm-based R&B/pop Swedish singer/songwriter’s debut EP Fool Me Twice has now arrived (released on May 24th). The project has 5 new tracks, in addition to the lead singles “Sweet Talk” and Body Bag”. Highlighted above is “Lose My Mind” which, according to her, is a song about a toxic relationship to bad habits.
Besides being an artist, Maydar (birth-name Alexandra Shanahan) is also a producer and DJ with roots Ireland and Italy. Last year (2018) was a breakthrough year for her as she released four decent singles. She’s also been featured on other artists’ songs, like her performance Chris Tall’s “Lucy (Sun Goes Up)”
