Listen to The Oddysy and Chuck D's "Bang Bang" [Video]

With the political heat emanating around US president Trump’s polarizing incumbency, music duo The Oddysy‘s “Bang Bang” featuring Public Enemy’s Chuck D arrived as representative of the spirit of protest. Its accompanying video directed by Ato Essandoh begins with an archived audio clip breaking the news of Martin Luther King Jr’s death, and proceeds to predict a volatile era of civil rights agitation. Musically, the production is clever and combines element of hip-hop, jazz, soul and funk. KJ’s singing, Chuck D’s rap verse and the overall production are all on point.

The Oddysy is made up of Johnny Juice and singer/songwriter and jazz bassist KJ. They have a debut album up their sleeves.
