Brisbane native Hazlett unveiled his new EP, Thundering Hopes, on July 1. Led by the single “Fireworks” (we covered this one when it was released last year), the 5-track project showcases the Australian songwriter and coroner’s folksy indie-pop style. Thematically, the EP explores those moments of clarity.

Focus single “Karaoke” (highlighted above) is a beautiful piece that retains Hazlett’s haunting vocals and thought-provoking lyrics. Like “Fireworks”, the song has an emotionally gripping feel.
