Massachusetts native Reks will be releasing a new album titled T.H.I.N.G.S. (The Hunger Inside Never Gets Satisfied) on September 11, via the label Brick Records. In creating the LP, the 43-year-old emcee collaborated with the likes Pharoahe Monch, Lil Fame, Nottz, Evidence and Marco Polo.
“Benjamin’s Dead”, which is highlighted above, is one of the singles on the upcoming album. The boombap hip-hop track features fellow rappers Singapore Kane and Lil Fame, and was produced by D.R.U.G.S. Beats.
“Benjamin’s Dead” is a politically charged song that tears into the oppressive system on which the U.S. was founded. Armed with hard-hitting lyricism, the artists raise a pandemonium.
Follow Reks on Instagram and be on the lookout for the album (drops this Friday).
