Ivory Layne‘s debut EP Confetti is only a few days away now — it’s due for a February 18 release and can be pre-saved here. While making the much-anticipated announcement, the emerging Nashville-based singer-songwriter (and Justin Timberlake signing) shared the title-track.
“Confetti” was unveiled alongside a bewitching visual filmed by Aaron Campbell and Gatton in the artist’s own home. Showcasing the artist’s powerful voice, the emotive folk-pop song is an ode to the difficulty in moving on from ‘the party that was so hard to leave’.
About the music video, Ivory explains: “I wanted something colourful that we could feasibly bring to life in the confines of my place. We created ‘the party that was so hard to leave’ from the bridge of Confetti with cake, streamers, and glitter that refuses to help pay rent but somehow insists on sticking around.“
