New York DJ /producer Nickodemus linked up with New Orleans vocalist Cole Williams for the song “Obeah Woman”. It’s an enchanting rework of Nina Simone’s classic of the same title. The original song part of the legendary singer’s 1974 album, It Is Finished.
Nickodemus’ version is engagingly funky. Cole manages to channel the Nina’s urgency while retaining her own unique style. The track arrives with two remixes; one by Kiko Navarro and another by Buscrates.
