“Addicted” by Nashville-based singer-songwriter Becoming Young is a confessional piece about embracing one’s self-destructive tendencies. Steeped in romantic themes, the song is taken from his upcoming album, The songs I Wrote You. It will be followed by another beautiful piece named “Silent Words”, which drops March 24.

About the latest song, the artist says, “One evening, I was sitting alone, practicing at my kitchen counter when up came the line, ‘I said I’d never love someone again / I’ve been running / I said I wouldn’t let her in / But I’m addicted.’ Writing that lyric was one of those moments where the truth of the words you’ve just penned drains the blood from your cheeks. From there, I just told the story that was plastered all over my face.
