Ghanaian rapper M.anifest linked up with London-based producer Juls for his latest single, “Confusion”. On it, Afrobeat and hip-hop sounds are skillfully blended to create a song so addictive you’ll have it on repeat. Its musically rich instrumentation combines guitars, percussion and horns.

“Confusion” describes the beautiful chaos that characterizes life in a modern African city such as his hometown of Accra. M.anifest comments, “such is the paradox of life in our cities, that there is always a constant tension between the feeling of ‘hurry hurry’ and ‘ok wait’.”

For the video, the musician went the animation way and created a compelling visual, which he says has hints regarding the title of his next album.
