After “Balada Borracha“, UK producer Quantic and Afro-Colombian singer Nidia Góngora are back with “Macumba de Marea”. This new offering is the latest installment on the duo’s upcoming second album, Almas Conectadas. That LP is expected on October 22 via UK label Tru Thoughts.

“Macumba de Marea” finds Nidia singing about souls lost at sea being found by fishermen. Quantic provides her the perfect instrumental backing, giving the track its enchanting feel.

“This song speaks of the importance of the rituals to say goodbye to our dead, through actions, charged with mysticism, spirituality and beliefs that define our cultural identity,” explains Nidia Gongora.
