The legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. lives on. Americans do observe MLK Day on the third Monday of January every year. This year’s celebrations were on January 17th and legendary emcee Ras Kass decided to contribute a new anthem and, with it, new perspectives.
Named “MLK Day”, the TRACKZ 100-produced song is insightful and thought-provoking. Kass is heard musing on the assassination of the civil rights leader while also delivering some commentary on current cultural and social issues. Jaye’s soulful chorus fills up track smoothly.
