Released on La Reserve Records is Barney Cortez‘s latest song, “Shit River”.

The track features Rayland Baxter. It is the fourth single from the quick-rising Philadelphia artist’s upcoming debut album, Hullabaloo.

“Shit River” is a brilliant track with thoughtful lyrics.

“It’s the dichotomy of being stuck in the streets, and in your little house or apartment,” says Cortez, “but then at the end of the day looking out at the horizon and seeing this beautiful man made city you’re in the middle of. It’s a dichotomy between the wonder of that and the entrapment of that.”
