On September 1, Israeli singer Shelly Perel released “Don’t try”, which arrived as the first single from her upcoming debut album, Patience And Stuff.
In making the nostalgic alt-R&B/pop track, she teamed up with producer Golde, a fellow Tel Aviv artist. “Don’t try” perfectly highlights Shelly’s soulful vocals.
About the song, the 24-year-old singer-songwriter explains, “The song is really about the expectations of our environment and how sometimes we expect from ourselves something completely different, how this feeling we’re all sharing of a huge mess and not knowing where we’re going with our life is actually relatable .So let’s enjoy it!“
