South African-based music collective Obi Sanaa announced themselves last Friday with debut single, “Walking on Water”. The melody-driven amapiano track saw them team up with quick-rising Kenyan singer Sofiya Nzau who delivers her lyrics in both English and Kikuyu.

“Walking On Water” is super-soulful. Sofiya’s soothing vocals nicely complement the track’s dance-inducing groove.

Lyrically, the song tells a curious tale of two friends who realize that they usually encounter bad luck whenever they’re together. “Walking on Water” was released together with an AI-generated visual which you can see above.
