Mak Ro is an alt-R&B outfit comprising cousins Eric Makapugay and Kristoffer Ruaro. The Filipino-American duo’s first album is an 8-song collection called Love in the Dark. “Sin” and “Cold” are two of the tracks that arrived with the album.

While “Sin” is an emotive song about the push-and-pull between desire and regret, “Cold” explores the tension between distance and desire in relationships. Dressed in delicate R&B production, both songs are soulful and moody.
