In “Dior”, Janiq serves up a playful bop
Janiq‘s transition from the theatre stage to the recording studio has been interesting to watch. The UK artist has a new song that I believe you’ll find captivating.
“Dior” is a dance-pop banger whose lyrics flirt with materialistic love. The accompanying music video is so colourful, matching the vibrant energy of the track.
“With my ex, I had a crazy romantic type of fairytale love, like Romeo and Juliet. I was whisked up in a whirlwind of emotions that make you do dumb things. Long story short, we broke up; he was toxic and tried to convert me to a lifestyle where material riches weren’t a thing… blocked and deleted. Shakespeare called it a tragedy for a reason. I wrote this song thinking, I love ‘love’, but I’m a proud material girl, sorry not sorry. Remove ‘struggle love’ from the itinerary, please and thank you,” Janiq says bluntly.
Enjoy “Dior” and then keep up with Janiq on Instagram.
