The song that introduces us to the world of New York band Two Dark Birds is the uniquely sounding “Pink Light”. It is the Steve Koester-fronted outfit’s latest single — and their first offering of the year.

Because “Pink Light” didn’t quite fit in with their upcoming album, which arrives this summer, Two Dark Birds decided to release it as a standalone single.

Produced by Jeff Lipstein and mastered by Justin Perkins, “Pink Light” is an indie rock record with dense, synth-washed instrumentation. The track’s ethereal soundscape makes it simply magical. According to the band, it explores a moment when the mundane and the infinite intersect.

Give the song a listen and follow Two Dark Birds on Instagram or Facebook for updates regarding their planned album.
