Two years separate Caroline Alves‘ PassionFruit EP and her newest single, “Innocence”.

And “Innocence” is only the second single released by the Rio de Janeiro-born, Switzerland-based singer since that well-received 2024 EP — she dropped “Something’s Wrong” in March.

Both these songs arrived accompanied with amazing visuals.

“I wrote ‘Innocence’ about the beautiful chaos of loving someone with your whole heart before you know better. It’s about being naive enough to believe love can heal everything,” Caroline shares, also indicating that she took a totally different approach when writing this song.

“I wanted this song to be very descriptive and sound like an image or a movie. So you could actually paint or make a script out of my lyrics.”

The track is dressed in shimmering electro pop production, her alluring vocals blending smoothly with the instrumental.

Caroline Alves is the kind of artist who leaves you wondering how you are only just now discovering her. At least that was my reaction when I heard her music for the first time.
