US singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Basya Schechter and her band Pharaoh’s Daughter have released a new album titled Songs of Desire. The 12-song collection is now available via Bandcamp.

Songs of Desire is led by the single “Oori Oori”, a jazzy alt-pop tune that I find quite enchanting.

Overall, the album is rooted in Middle Eastern influences and features lush, meditative soundscapes. It offers such a refreshing listening experience.
