Early this year, alt-pop artist Keni Titus released her debut album, AngelPink. While still basking in the album’s warm reception, she’s delivered the followup.

AngelPink (no halo) is the title of 6-track new EP. The project includes the song “the street”, which I consider to be a standout. An acoustic ballad steeped in emotive storytelling, “the street” is leans towards folk-pop.

Keni shares “‘the street’ is a song I wrote about having expectations for someone you’re with and feeling let down when they don’t meet them. At the end of the day, you can’t make someone want something they don’t – or want you if they don’t. I thought the title ‘the street’ was kind of funny because of that saying, ‘he’s for the streets,’ so I had that trope in mind too lol.”
