Following her “Heart Strings” single, Miami-based singer-songwriter Soleil is back with another. Called “Rubbish”, the new R&B/soul song is infused with elements from funk and pop.

About “Rubbish”, Soleil says: “The song is about waking up to the lies that we convince ourselves to believe; what begins as a story of unconditional love and loyalty unravels into the realization that empty promises, mixed signals, and emotional neglect were never love at all.”

But it isn’t all about resentment. Rather, it’s a story of reclaiming one’s power, a transformation of self-doubts into self-respect. And the song is just as captivating musically as it’s truly empowering lyrically .
