“My Letter To You” by Jenny JAM was my introduction to the London-born US-based artist. It dropped in 2022 and, incidentally, it was the last song she released before going on hiatus.

With Jenny’s debut album Trains, Planes and Airports around the corner, now is probably the prefect time to listen to “Toy Proof”, her poignant new single.

“This song came out of one of the darkest moments of my life,” the artist said about the summer of 2022, when she’d gone back to England to take care of her mum, who’d just undergone a serious medical procedure.

She continued: “Then the person I loved and trusted, left when I needed them the most. It’s about realizing that no matter how badly someone treats you, they don’t get to break you.“
