Toronto-born singer-songwriter Maddie Regent has a new single and video out now. “Lizzy” is an upbeat, playful pop track song about when the chemistry between two people becomes too powerful to resist.

“My favorite love stories start with two enemies who spend all their time fighting their attraction to one another,” Maddie shares. “I wanted to write a song that captured that stubborn inevitable love.”

I love the production on this track, which gives it a warm texture and magnetic feel. “Lizzy” is beautifully crafted indeed.

Last year, Los Angeles-based Regent released her debut album, On the phone with my mom, and left the whole industry mesmerized. “Lizzy” is another spellbinding release from her the singer.
