Kenyan Dual return with “Candlelight” video [Aipate Premiere]

Aipate premieres the visuals for “Candlelight”, a new single by Kenyan Dual. The song is in form of an Afro-Jazz track and addresses the plights of a heartbroken lover and the consequent sense of betrayal.

Kenyan Dual is an all-boy singer/instrumentalist duo from Kilifi, Kenya. Both 20 years of age, Kelvin Mwenda (stage-name Kevman) and Austin Sitati (stage-name Majeek) began operating as a band early last year. Initially also incorporated rap into their songs, they reverted to mainly singing and the guitar as their main tools after studying the Kenyan industry landscape.

They had made their debut with “Acapela” single and this helped them grab industry attention. This even won them a local Song Of The Year award in their town.

They also have a song titled “Umeketi Na Sponsor”, and they say they pitched it Jimmy Gait only for him to “betray” them and record his own version. That never broke their spirit.

Kenyan Dual is planning to release a series of records.
