Up-and-coming Kenyan songstress Laura Stacy is back. The video for her new single, “Kanungo” is just out. The singer had shot into industry limelight with her debut, “Sing To You”. Her follow-up records never disappointed either but it is “Tega Sikio” that stood out more prominently.

“Kanungo”, her latest offering, carries an Afro-fused, dance-hall flavor and features another Kenyan artist, Fidla.  Laura’s sublime vocals, coupled with Fidla witty lyrics, overlay the melodies and the clever production balances the upbeat sound and the powerful vocals. The song was produced by Ondiko and Yo Alex of Resoundz Media Studios and Drama House Music, respectively, while the video was done by ATL Entertainement’s Richie G and Don Omari

Currently signed to Resoundz Media Studios, the 21-year old singer-songwriter began as a vocalist for MC Pipita before venturing into a solo career in 2015. Laura Stacy has performed on various platforms and consequently, the accrued buzz has earned her a number of media interviews. She is one of the singers to watch out for.
