Amir Kelly has released his debut single, “MAUI”. The song arrives with a stunning video to accompany it. The Francisco Covarrubias-directed visuals was premiered on MEFEATER. It finds him living like a prince, an image which is, however, a contrast to his current reality. Amir is a 21-year-old artist of Black and Indian heritage who had to roll up his sleeves to make this record a reality. Still, that’s the message the musician intended: ‘everyone has the power to reclaim their own crown’.

“MAUI” is an R&B track that comes laced with elements of hip hop. The singer’s vocals blends in to make this a strong release. Watch and listen below.
