It’s hard to pin down Ruby Waters‘ music to a specific genre because she blends various styles into what can simply be described as ‘alternative’. I came to know about the Ontario-raised Canadian singer-songwriter a couple of years ago when she dropped “Open Arms”.

The latest from Ruby is a groove-driven alt-pop track called “Get A Grip”. It was released alongside a fun, adventure-loving and equally magnetic music video directed by Adit Dixit.

As can be inferred from the music video, the artist seems to revel in her independence.

“The video for GET A GRIP was a pretty loose program of me just doing my thang,” Waters shares. “Adit is a legend and always captures the magic. I love playing around in the mountains and I love kicking it with friends-two of the many things I’m very thankful for.”
