Folk, Afro-percussive tunes and electronic elements all come beautifully interwoven within “Row Your Boat”, a new groovy song by Kenyan rapper Jemedari and fusionist outfit Bengatronics. Written by Jemedari and produced by Sid Simila and John Udulele, the record blends lush vocal harmonies and exciting instrumentation. It is a modern re-imagination of the motivational, childhood chant of a similar title.

Jemedari is better known for his collaboration with singer Jerry in “Msenangu”, which you can watch below. Bengatronics, on the other hand, consiste of Mwalimu Gregg Tendwa, John Kithikii, John Udulele, Missing Rotich and Francis Mutiso, and they have been creating a new flavour of Benga music.
