Australian producer L D R U‘s first song of 2019 is here for your listening pleasure. “Lay You Down” features fast-rising, Sydney-based, pop songstress Muki. This track comes packed with alluring female vocals which overlay enchanting, melody-driven electronic synths. On its own, the lyrics is beautiful, and so, when sung over such a monumental tune, the result is a breathtaking record. “Lay You Down” is the follow up to the artist’s “Can’t Drive”, which was a massive success.
L D R U is the solo project of Drew Carmody, who taught himself how to produce music while nursing a back injury that that he’d sustained while working as a carpenter. He has gone on to become a big name in the electronic music space, signing a publishing deal with BMG Australia and a label deal with the local division of Sony Music.
