If asked, I would certainly mention TEHYA‘s blend of expressive vocals with melodic indie pop sensibilities as part of what’s fueling her meteoric rise. Plus, the young, emerging Canadian singer has remained quite consistent with her releases this year.

Her fourth and latest single of 2026 is called “Pick Up”. The new song finds a mature, reflective version of her.

“‘Pick Up’ is about that one person you know you can call no matter what,” says Toronto-based TEHYA. “My dad always told me growing up, ‘people come and go, but family doesn’t.’ I never really understood that until I got older, cause making friends was never difficult for me, but having them stick around was. So in a way, this song is for the people who have stayed, and that person you can depend on most.“

More is definitely coming from artist. She’s one newcomer you can’ afford to sleep on. Find TEHYA on Instagram.
