Hear “Polar Night Blues” by Finland’s Southern Fruits

Southern Fruits is a blues/rock band from Finland. To get a taste of their music, you need to check out the super-group’s debut EP, Polar Night Blues which arrived earlier in the year. This project carries 4 great songs, including the title-track “Polar Night Blues: The Winter of the North” (whose in-studio live performance video you can see above). Despite it’s high tempo, the song talks of the winter blues, describing the plights associated with the season’s completely dark and cold days; it’s all about survival.

Southern Fruits comprises of about 10 to 12 musicians whose instruments include: vocals, guitar, harmonica, Hammond organ, Rhodes piano and drums.
