If there’s a time when the whole world could do with some hope, then it’s now. Such are the times when songs like “Gentle Heart” by Canadian folk singer/songwriter Joshua Hyslop comes in handy. Purposely reassuring, the piece was in fact written for a friend of his who was going though a rough patch. Still, we could all personalize the message.
“…the idea of holding onto hope even when it may feel far away is even more applicable now and it’s my wish that this song could bring some peace and comfort to anyone who’s feeling hopeless. Even though we may feel alone, we’re in this together.”

“Gentle Heart”, released on April 10th, precedes Hyslop’s forthcoming album Ash & Stone, which is due July 10th.
