Soulful singer-songwriter Claire Reneé linked up with director Dean Singleton to create the visual for her “Red Lights” single. The smooth and calming jazz-inflected R&B track is part of her album, Wings. That 9-track project was released earlier in the year and also includes songs such as “I’m Tired”.
“Red Lights’ is a song that I wrote when l felt super frustrated and stagnant, yet I felt like I was on a hamster wheel and couldn’t get off. Everything around me seemed to be moving so quickly. It’s about taking time to slow down and sit with ourselves, sometimes even heeding to signs from our own ancestors and spirit guides,” Claire says about the thought-provoking piece.
The video finds Claire Reneé immersed in a red-lit bookstore to symbolize peace and refuge. Keep up with her on Instagram and consider listening to the entire Wings album.
