“The Way Back Home” is a heartfelt indie-folk song by American singer-songwriter Aisha Badru. It typifies the artist’s mature and spiritually-aware songwriting. In this instance, she introspectively invokes the wisdom in the saying that ‘if you love something, set it free’.

Aisha explains that the song is “about giving those who we have close relationships with the space to pursue goals, dreams, travel, and life experiences outside of the relationship without the limitations of our own fears that their growth will lead them away from us permanently.”

This track is so beautiful that it easily gets you obsessed. That’s why the news that Badru is set to release another EP in December is particularly welcome. Titled The Way Back Home, the EP will be out via Nettwerk Records.
