North London soul artist Mega has a new single out named “Be Good Be Kind”. It is a pensive, guitar-driven indie-pop piece. Moved by the passing of media personality Caroline Flack, Mega penned this song.
She explains: “’In a world where you can be anything, be kind’. A friend sent me this Instagram post when Caroline Flack posted it. I think this was one of her last Instagram posts. I didn’t know Caroline Flack personally but I’ve always believed that everyone we meet is fighting a battle that we know nothing about, so it’s important to be kind, always. I hope the song can encourage anyone that is struggling with their mental health to reach out for help, and I hope it will be a gentle reminder to them that they are not alone. I also hope that it can build a community of support, love, and kindness. ‘When we are kind to ourselves, we are inherently kind to others’ -I read this once and I believe it to be true.“
Mega is scheduled to perform live at The Grace, London on March 15 (tickets available here).
