Dakota Jones, the 4-piece band from Brooklyn, New York, are back with “Sugar Pie”. This is a sweet retro soul tune about the feeling of being in love.

We last covered the outfit when they dropped their debut album, Black Light. Actually, that was the band’s last official release.

With “Sugar Pie”, we’re once again treated to great instrumentation and lead singer Tristan Carter-Jones smooth vocals

“It’s the effortless cool of a gang of two, walking in step through streets paved with sugar under a plush pink sky,” says Dakota Jones. “Don’t know where you’re going and you don’t care. It’s rose-coloured glasses on the tip of your nose, and kisses like cotton candy.”

The song came paired with a sleek, black-and-white visual which you can see above.
